Hospital Point is a tiny place with a huge variety of attractions. You can scuba dive or snorkel near the reef, swim at the majestic beach or walk through the dense forests, looking for dart frogs and other rare species in their natural environment.
To the western side of Hospital Point is a diversified botanical garden with various species from all corners of the globe. Definitely an experience to remember.
Bats Cave & Virgin Grotto
In the middle of Colon Island, is Colonia Santena, founded by livestock farmers. Following a trail from the community, people will reach a symbolic cave where local people pray to the Virgin del Carmen statue. In the Virgin's Grotto, also called the Bats Cave, are hundreds of bats, that leave the cave at night to feed on the abundant insects and fruits of the area.
